Rental Policy & Terms

RENTAL PAYMENT TERMS

All rentals are due in advance, unless prior arrangements are made. This applies to daily, weekly and long term rentals, and your rental invoice will be marked this way. Please pay special attention to this and make payment on receipt of invoice.

SALES TAX ON RENTAL EQUIPMENT

State sales tax is applicable on equipment rental used for maintenance or repair. Sales tax on new construction and reconstruction equipment rental may be exempt. Let the rental counter person know in advance and provide them with the appropriate sales tax exemption certificate document.

RENTAL PERIODS

Rental Charges are Based on Time Out/Time Away from Store. Time charged will be from the time the equipment leaves to the time the equipment is returned. This includes: Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

OVERTIME CHARGES

Overtime charges will be assessed if equipment is used over: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
or 160 hours/4-week period.

EQUIPMENT CALL-OFF / PICK UP

It is your responsibility to notify Corning Rental when equipment is ready to be picked up. We will not come pick up the equipment until Corning Rental has been notified that the equipment is ready to be picked up. An after hours message on our call messaging system is deemed proper notification.

EQUIPMENT RETURNS

Corning Rental is open Monday thru Friday from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM – Noon on Saturdays between April 1st and December 31th. Equipment can be returned during business hours or after hours by calling our call messaging system and stating you returned the equipment. Keys can be left in the mailbox by the front door of the office.

EQUIPMENT CLEANING

Equipment will be delivered to you clean. If the equipment is returned excessively dirty, cleaning charges may apply. Corning Rental will charge cleaning at an hourly rate of $85.00. SAVE MONEY AND RETURN EQUIPMENT CLEAN.

EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

Corning Rental wants to provide each customer with safe, dependable and ready to use equipment to do their job. Customers returning equipment damaged, outside of normal wear will be billed for repairs. Dented sheet metal, bent booms, broken glass, damaged hydraulic hoses, cut tires are a few examples of billable repairs. SAVE MONEY AND TREAT THE EQUIPMENT AS IF YOU OWN IT. Rent continues until repairs have been made and equipment is back in service.

FUELING CHARGE

The equipment you rented was sent out with a full gas/diesel tank. Corning Rental will fuel the equipment when returned and bill fuel at $6.00 per gallon. SAVE MONEY AND RETURN EQUIPMENT FULLY FUELED.
